More and more companies work with Claude. It often starts with individual Pro accounts that employees sign up for and expense. That works for a few people. Once a whole team uses it, you want central management, one invoice and clarity about your data. That is when you choose a business Claude subscription.
Claude plans and pricing: the overview
Plan | Price per user per month | For whom |
|---|---|---|
Claude Pro | $20, or $17 with annual billing | One person |
Claude Max | From $100 | One heavy user |
Claude Team, standard seat | $25, or $20 with annual billing | Teams of up to 150 users |
Claude Team, premium seat | $125, or $100 with annual billing | Heavy users within a team |
Claude Enterprise | $20 per seat plus usage, annual contract | Larger organisations |
Pro and Max are personal plans without central management. For a company with several users, choose Claude Team or Claude Enterprise. Prices are in US dollars, excluding VAT.
Claude cost per month for your team
Do the maths for your own team. A team of ten on standard seats costs $200 per month with annual billing. Give two of them a premium seat and you end up at $360 per month. With monthly billing the amounts are a quarter higher. Start with standard seats and only move people to premium when they hit the usage limit.
Claude Team plan: what does the subscription include?
Looking for a Claude business plan or Claude for Teams? Anthropic calls that plan Claude Team. It is meant for teams of two users or more, without an annual contract. For small businesses it is usually the logical place to start. A Claude Team subscription gives you:
an admin console where you add and remove users
one invoice for the whole team
shared projects, so colleagues work with the same instructions and documents
connectors to tools your team already uses
the commitment that Anthropic does not use your conversations to train models by default
Claude Enterprise pricing and who it is for
Claude Enterprise is for organisations that need more control. Think of signing in through your own identity provider (SSO), automatic user provisioning (SCIM), audit logs and role-based permissions. You pay $20 per seat per month on an annual contract. On top of that, you pay for usage at Anthropic’s API rates. That makes the cost harder to predict than with Team, so estimate usage per department in advance.
Is Claude safe for your business? Privacy and GDPR
With a business subscription, Anthropic does not use your conversations to train models by default. You control who has access and which connectors are switched on. If you put personal data into Claude, you process that data under the GDPR. So agree on which data your team does and does not enter. With personal accounts, that is out of your hands.

Which Claude subscription fits your business?
One or two people working with it themselves: Claude Pro will do, but without central management.
A team of up to 150 users without strict IT requirements: choose Claude Team.
A few heavy users in your team: give them a premium seat within Claude Team.
Need SSO, SCIM or audit logs: choose Claude Enterprise.
Using Claude for business: agree on the rules too
The subscription is the first step. Next you decide which data your team may put into Claude, who manages which projects and how you check output. Without those agreements, everyone uses it their own way, even with a business account.
